Solid premise, although I’m not sure how Goku and Vegeta are going to be able to beat both Frieza and Broly. I mean, I’m sure they will, but at what point does this series ever try to protect the power levels of recurring characters and not make this a story about how they get their ass kicked until Goku gets stronger?

Dragon Ball Super: Broly will be in American theaters January 16th.

Dragon Ball’s popularity has entered a golden age where it’s arguably as embraced—if not even more so—than during the height of its popularity back in the early 2000s. This fandom doesn’t just restrict itself to the anime, with new video games like Dragon Ball FighterZ bringing in huge crowds. The series has found an incredible second life via its latest chapter, Dragon Ball Super, which is currently one of the largest draws on Adult Swim’s Toonami lineup. Dragon Ball Super’s English dub is still going strong on Toonami and even though the series has wrapped in Japan, the series’ first film, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, is only months away from premiering both in Japan and North America.

These two movies ushered in Dragon Ball Super, a brand new animated series, and one that has recently ended (at least for the time being). Despite a satisfying conclusion to is final arc, the series has a ton of unanswered questions and remains a source of intriguing fan theories.

With our list, we’re going to be looking at some of the wildest (and best) of these

There's a new Dragon Ball Super film coming to Japan in December, and it looks like Broly will be making his way back into the franchise. Crunchyroll has revealed the title of the new feature will simply be Dragon Ball Super: Broly, and while no concrete details have been released, Akira Toriyama stated this will be the first time he directly worked with the character.

Prior to now Toriyama was only responsible for the character's design, but this film he had a say in the character's story and how he was re-introduced into the Dragon Ball Z franchise. The film is set to release in Japan December 14th, so we're assuming it will arrive in the U.
