Professor Youens's trial is riddled with errors. The characters initially speak of it as if it were a sentencing hearing. In court it's a jury trial. The judge allows untranslated Spanish testimony from the victim and doesn't offer the defense the chance to cross-examine her. The victim sits at the prosecutor's table as if it were a civil trial. The prosecution is never shown resting her case before defense witnesses start testifying. The judge allows Lip to make a statement from the witness stand rather than responding to questions from the defense attorney. See more »

Veronica Fisher: Yes!
Kevin Ball: Wouldn't you?
Veronica Fisher: I'm close. I'm so close!
Kevin Ball: You never hang up wet towels. You never refill the ice tray! You never buy stamps!
